Dêlê-bêgi Ye (/ˈtobɪ/ /ˈbɘgi/ [automatic] [group; gang; bunch; bundle]) is a subtropical Large City located in the Aselumeman County of the Union of Engineers.

The name Dêlê-bêgi Ye is derived from the Sylvin language, as Dêlê-bêgi Ye was founded by Zegfëm, who was culturaly Iron Elvish.

Climate

Dêlê-bêgi Ye has a yearly average temperature of 24°C (75°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 26°C (78°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 23°C (73°F). Dêlê-bêgi Ye receives an average of 246 cm/y (96 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Dêlê-bêgi Ye covers an area of nearly 418 km² (167 mi²), and an average elevation of 6690 m (-21000 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Dêlê-bêgi Ye was founded durring the early 12th century in spring of the year 1130, by Zegfëm. The establishment of Dêlê-bêgi Ye was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Zegfëm struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Dêlê-bêgi Ye as a prison colony.

Dêlê-bêgi Ye was built using the conventions of Iron Elvish durring the early 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Dêlê-bêgi Ye is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Dêlê-bêgi Ye is buildings are speckled and packed arround premissive flagstone streets with seemingly no patern to them. It appears as if the city's residents simply built streets as they pleased and squeazed buildings in wherever and howeave rpossible, creating an organic, frustrating to navigate, maze of a city. The city has a defencive wall made from querried stone. The wall is equipped with a full set of battlments but the nature of its construction methodology leaves it somewhat vulnerable to siege equipment. That said, the city is well defended against anything short of an army. Astonishigly, the cost-cutting-focused defences are in pristine condishion, as if they had just been finished before you laied eyes upon them.

Dêlê-bêgi Ye has a very calm atmosphere. People can be seen relaxing, scocilizing, and going about all manner of business other than the daily grind. Men, women, children, all can be seen enjoying life in a laid-back way in the many parks which line Dêlê-bêgi Ye’s streets. A look around Dêlê-bêgi Ye has something terribly wrong with it. It’s impossible to put one’s finger on, but something is horribly wrong. Maybe it’s the way fog blankets the ground, but only in the connors of places. Maybe it’s the vermin scutteling between shadows in the corner of your eyes. Perhaps it’s the overcast sky which seemed to creep out of nowhere, or the distant howling of wolves. Maybe it’s everything together. Regardless, you do not feel it would be wise to remain in Dêlê-bêgi Ye long.

Cultural Notes

Dêlê-bêgi Ye's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used has a sleek, linear appearance with stylized, often geometric ornamentation. The primary facade of its buildings often featured a series of set backs that create a stepped outline. Low-relief decorative panels can be found at entrances, around windows, along roof edges or as string courses. It was best known for its use of smooth finish building materials such as stucco, concrete block, glazed brick or mosaic tile. Decorative details can incorporate various artistic or exotic motifs to suit the building's function or the architect's whim. Chevrons, zigzags, and other geometrical motifs are common forms of ornament.

Dêlê-bêgi Ye's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in winter and involves sex to channel Illusion energies of tier 1 via moments of science.
